Zbrush material problem

One pixel away from the desired color is out of the ballpark. Umm, is that a Matcap material? That might also be an issue to deal with.

The material that is on it currently is the ‘Toy Plastic’ material. I tend to use that for modeling purposes so I can see peaks/valleys/highlights/etc. It won’t be used in the final. But I get this issue even when Im just testing it out with the Flat Shader.

Well this is odd but seemed to fix it. I opened a fresh Zbrush document and created a poly primitive which I then turned into a 3d mesh. I painted a random color and then verified that I could color pick from it correctly, which I could. I then loaded my monkey character ztool and appended the 3d primitive into my monkey ztool, checked again that I could color pick correctly off of it, which I could. I then tried the same thing on the character and it color picked correctly. Not sure what was up with that but everything seems to be gravy again.
