I’m trying to create some blend shapes for an animation.
I’m using the blend shape plugin.
It seems to me that it’s a bit flawed in a number of ways.
One is that I have to make my changes on my highest sub division. Which isn’t ideal as sometimes I want to just move some part of the mesh, like the eyelides for example.
At that high res it’s really fiddly and would work much better at a lower division.
It seems to allow me to lower my mesh although the layer greys out. ButI can still make my changes at that lower level and then go back to the higher level and the layer still seems to work.
However, if I then make a new layer and then want to go back to the older layer I find that it’s broken.
The other problem I have is that the export part. If I already have all of my character rigged or set up for render. I exported from zbrush using the blender plugin it would overwrite my set up and replace it with the default mesh from Zbrush?
So how do people go about exporting their blend shapes. Do yo ujust creat your layers and then manually export each one as an OBJ and load them in one at a time?
