Zbrush/Keyshot Bridge - Update Mesh

Hi all!

Hey, is there a way to update the mesh after exporting to Keyshot for Render via the bridge? If I’ve already started applying materials and see a bit that needs fixing in Zbrush … how to fix then continue the texturing/render?

I have tried resending to KS - and that works except it strips any materials I had on the model prior.

Thank you!
Daf

Normally it works unless you have restarted Zbrush or changed names. In that case you are forced to set the materials again.

You are correct, thank you, but I didn’t explain clearly enough on that last part. What I meant was that the materials I applied while in KeyShot are stripped away when the model is re-imported. You are correct that if the materials are applied in Zbrush they will transfer in place.

Maybe that’s just the way it is with that bridge. I was thinking there might be a way to edit in place like with GoZ.

Thanks again!

As Altea said, as long as you don’t rename the subtool (also make sure all your subtools have unique names), you should be able to edit in zbrush, and the keyshot materials should stay in place when you send it again. If your materials are getting reset every time, something else is going on.

You can also create Keyshot material templates and apply them after sending from zbrush.
