My zbrush keeps crashing… if anyone can help me. I would appreciate it …
could you elaborate more? what exactly are you doing when it crashes?
mostly when i’m in spotlight. nothing with too much poly’s. i’m just learning. crashes at least every other time i’m in there. was thinking of restoring my whole mac osx. then reactivating zbrush just to make myself feel better. thats the worst feeling when it crashes.
but i’m pretty nervous about reactivating zbrush. have a bad feeling things won’t go smooth. just got tons of study material. books , videos. just diving into learning. projected my first lizard face onto a snake face. had to sit back and laugh to myself. what an incredible tool. just thinking of all the things i’m gonna do with spotlight… CRASH!
I don’t have a mac and there are probably many things you can do to adjust your program so it’s less prone to crashing. One I can think of that is operating system independant is to go into Preferences and reduce your Undo level way down so your system doesn’t have to hold as many versions in memory.
You can always try reinstalling everything from scratch, but I would suggest against it.
Take a look at this thread first:

It seems Spotlight is very unstable at the moment.
