Zbrush installation.. how to dupliacte setup from an older system to a new one?

I recently got a new system, and am installing my software on it.

Where are all the preferences files for zbrush stored at, so I can install on my new system, and then move everything onto the new one, so I don’t have to set up the interface all over again ?

Answered my own question… just install on the new system, and copy the other system’s installation folder on top of it on the new system, and everything appears to work fine.

You’re lucky. That will often mess up the license and require a recovery. Here’s all that’s necessary:

  1. Copy UICustom.cfg from the main ZBrush folder.
  2. Copy the ZStartup folder.
That’s it!

I made sure I installed it onto the same labeled partition, and installed it into the exact same folder name, JUST in case.

Then I copied the new install into a backup folder, just in case, and dropped the old install folder from my other system in it’s place.

I figured I’d make it as easy as possible for things to work, and I lucked out…
