Zbrush Import Changes Geometry...

For some reason when import an object i made in MAX in to Zbrush it will sometimes turn it into a tri even if it was a quad. I’m familiar with Zbrush doing this to n-gons, but i’ve never had it turn quads into tri’s until now. Does anyone have an explanation for why it is doing this?

did you press yes on a warning menu when you imported it?

no, there were no error messages or anything like that. I did a standard .obj export and when i imported it to zbrush some parts of the geometry were “tampered” with
