Hey, i just installed the trial and when i run zbrush i get this message and zbrush crashes. is there a patch i should get or something, i restarted my computer and reinstalled. has anyone run into this problem or heard a fix for it ?
What message do you get? Also, what are your system specs?
It says the executable has stopped working.

Where has the trial installed to? Since it looks like you’re running a 64-bit OS it should be in the Program Files (x86) folder rather than regular Program Files.
Have you installed any plugins or other startup stuff like downloaded materials or alphas?

ive tried installing it on both program files, and ive deleted and uninstalled everything to do with pixalogic and zbrush lol i cant figure this out grrr
Have you tried running the vcredist found in the TroubleshootHelp folder?
yup, and i thought it was a winner when i first saw it too 
could it be something in the appdata ? i couldnt find a pixalogic folder there tho
Is your computer user account an administrator or a regular user account? If it’s a regular user, were you logged in as an administrator to install ZBrush? Or did you have an admin install it for you?
my account is the admin, i installed the OS, ive also tried selecting the run as admin and run in various compatability modes.
whats 517142 -zbrush(windows) (shared components) ?
I would need to know the context of that error message. At what point does it appear? Is there more to the message?
