So I’ve never had a problem with this in zbrush until the last two iterations of zbrush, but when working on project, not even particularly heavily polygon dense, Zbrush is constantly warning me that do to memory my undo histories will be lost. I have 16gb of ram which has always been more than sufficient. Yet now I can’t even work on a project for more than a few minutes w/o getting this warning from zbrush and losing my undos on current tool. I.E this morning I was working on a subtool( only tool visible ) that is roughly 2 million polys and sure enough as soon as I go to record a layer I get the warning and zbrush deletes all my undos. But not only does it delete my undos it never gives me anymore for that current session?tool. I’ve tested my ram and its good so I’m not sure what the problem is?
Max undo history is set to 10, 000.
If you feel all your settings are correct then contacting Pixologic Support will give you the most definitive answer.
I seem your PC’s some app folder>“temp file” is feeling so heavy…?
temp folder sometimes have “strong killer volume log files”.
These log file are each 1~2k ,but they are strong a lots.
Such each “lots of” little files sometimes kill your PC.
Some PC’s engineer always says,
"If you feel PC is so heavy, you had better
“check user>
some app>
temp folder,
and delete(or move out of your PC’ memory>SD media) such bad heavy (maker’s) log files,
Good luck.”
Will you watch your temp folders?
Good luck !
