ZBRUSH Eagle head

I am very new at Zbrush as of last year. I am currently working on a project for a friend’s retirement. He is asking me to have an American Bald Eagle fly over an ocean looking at Naval ships and subs. I have the ships and subs built in Maya, and I am planning on taking this eagle eventually into Maya for animation. I manged to get the shape down for the head. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated. I am also wondering how in the heck to create the wings for this guy in Zbrush. Thanks for your inputs.

Thank you Jutsu for your response. You totally right! In fact, I originally got the idea of sculpting the eagle head in Zbrush from 3D Artist magazine. They described a process where to take a rough sculpt and then bring back into Maya to rebuild the model, then take in back into Zbrush for clean up, and so on. It seems time consuming, but made sense at the time. I wonder if it is easier though to do a re-topology in Zbrush over the eagle’s head?! Again thank you for you inputs.

Whewww! Thanks Jutsu! I had thought about retopologising in Zbrush since I already have the model head developed, but then I have to consider the wings and the rest of the body with rigging later. I am working on a special project for a very close friend in the Navy who is retiring. I will have an eagle flying over the clouds looking down at the ocean below, sees a sub which is diving and then the eagle looks left and sees n DDG with a zoom from the camera. Both boats launch missiles, they collide forming and retirement logo for his video. I have the SSBN, DDG, ocean, sky, dynamics, and all other elements developed in Maya. I was just not sure with the eagle part, which is fun but no doubt challenging to say the least. I started using Zbrush in college a year ago, and while it took some time to develop an understanding of the concept of the tools and the process, I feel in love with the program. Since then, I have been working on developing more work between the two. Thank you so much for everything though. If you know any great tutorials on how to properly rig a bird, it would be greatly appreciated. Take care and thanks for the feedback!
