Zbrush doesn't remember my path directory Mac osx

Hi everyone,

I thought this was just something that Zbrush did, in that when I open a tool and then go back to import or open something else, Zbrush goes back to my root directory. Which is really annoying and wastes a lot of time, especially when i need to import and save out a lot of items.

But I’ve found on the PC version it doesn’t have this problem. Is this just an OSX issue? I’m using Mountain Lion if that’s any help.

In the Preferences / Misc palette have you enabled the “Use ZFolders” option

Hi Richard,

That sounds like a promising solution. I’m not at my main computer at the moment but I’ll check that out later. Thanks for the reply.

Checked it and it’s not ticked so the problem still remains. Thanks for the advice though.

Look under Misc. http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Preferences_Palette#File_Subpalette

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the tip, I already knew where the option was it’s just that as far as I understand, if the Zproject folder option is ticked then Zbrush will save your assets in the appropriate Zfolder. If it’s un-ticked it will save it in the last folder you saved or opened from. I’ve got mine set to un-ticked so I guessing that should be all I need to do but at the moment that’s not working it just opens back at my root directory.
