Zbrush deformation subtool scale problems

Hi guys, I used the deformation scale to reduce to the size of all my subtools by clicking apply to other. However, when I try to increase the subdivision levels after the resizing has been done. This is what I get, any idea how to fix it?

You might have a corrupt mesh. Run Fix Mesh in Geometry/Modify Topology/Mesh Integrity subpalette. Then try subdividing again.
