Zbrush CTD when hoovering mouse over subtool

Hey all,
I have this very annoying problem, basicly what happens is that if I work on one subtool with every other subtool hidden and then want to switch over to the “main” subtool, for example to save, Zbrush crash to desktop, without a single warning.
It happens pretty much everytime. Sometimes it doesn’t happen if I don’t rotate the camera and just have a sculpt as the last thing I did, but then again, sometimes it even crash even if my last move was a sculpt.

The only workaround i found for this is clicking the little eye next to the only visible subtool I’m working on to unhide everything and THEN select the main subtool to save it or whatever.

Is this a common and known bug? (I did a search and found nothing) If so is there anyway to fix this or just pray it’s fixed in ZB4 hopefully?

I might add that this only seem to happen with this particular model, I did the same procedure to recreate the bug with another older model and it doesn’t seem to happen, only happens with this model.

I use the latest Zbrush and my system specs are Core2Duo @ 2.66 ghz, 3.5 gb ram, Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT and Windows XP 32 Bit.

The model is around 2.5 mil polys, but I have had models with far higher poly count before without any problem.

Thanks in advance!

Is it crashing when you save, or when you simply click on the top subtool. If saving causes the crash, try saving through subtool master instead of using the save button in the Tool pallet.

Nah, it’s not when I try to save, its when I move my mouse over the main (top, in this case the character) subtool. I don’t have to click anything, just move the mouse above that subtool and then it crashes to desktop without saying anything.
