ZBrush crashing on Mac OS X Mavericks when previewing Adaptive Skin

Has anyone experienced this? I’m on a 15" MacBook Pro, Retina, OS X 10.9.4. Any help is much appreciated.

Okay, I think I’ve found the problem. There is what appears to be a rogue ZSphere in my model, but does anyone know how to get rid of a rogue ZSphere? Alt clicking on the ZSphere in Draw mode doesn’t seem to work.

Again, any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Try move mode to drag it away from the others and or scale it larger and then alt click in draw mode. The root ZSphere can’t be deleted. Were you using armature for creation or ZSketching?

See my post #12 here.

Hi Doug. I used armature for creation. I tried as you suggested, but alt-clicking in Draw mode doesn’t delete the sphere. Doing a little research I found that one solution might be to select the sphere, hide it, then delete it via Geometry --> DelHidden, but DelHidden doesn’t show up under the Geometry tab. Has this been placed under a different palette? I’m using 4R6.

Thanks for you suggestions!

You should have ZB4R6 P2. Post up in thread has link to solution. Sometimes it’s easier to make it over than to try and fix it if what I’ve suggested or his method don’t work.

Doug, that solution worked like a charm! Thanks so much for your help! This is a great forum.
