Doesnt matter what kind of mesh Im working with, whenever I try to break a mesh into multiple subtools, zbrush crashes when I hit Split Groups. I mask the area I want as a new subtool, convert into a new polygroup and then hit Split Groups.
Is there something I may be doing wrong?
That’s the way to do it, perhaps your mesh is corrupt? Run a mesh integrity check (Geometry>Modify Topology>Check/Fix Mesh) before groups split and see if that helps.
Checking/Fixing mesh integrity resolved the issue.
