New problem, I have PC, motherboard asus P5E3, intel core quad Q6600 and 2gb corsair ram, now I have bought corsair 4gb and PC is running great except for the zbrush, after 10min PC just freeze. This is 32bit PC. When I put back 2gb ram it is working.
3d max is working, photoshop is working, any other soft is working just Zbrush is crashing, does any body know what is going on?
what are zbrush’s memory preferences set at?
what were you doing in particular with zbrush when this happened?
Your Preferences>Mem>Compact Mem should be no higher than 2048.
You may also want to run a RAM diagnostic. It’s possible that one of the chips is bad.
Other things to check:
- Did you add to your previous RAM, or did you completely replace your RAM? If you added to your RAM, did you make sure that the new RAM is the same manufacturer and model as the old? If not, the two RAM types could be conflicting with each other.
- Did you ensure that your new RAM is on the recommended list from your motherboard manufacturer for this particular MoBo?
- If you completely replaced your RAM, did you ensure that the BIOS is set to the correct timing for the new RAM? Not all motherboards set this automatically or correctly and a wrong value will cause problems when doing intensive tasks.
aurick those are new RAM, from corsair ddr3 2gb to the same but 4gb. Memtest was ok, all other program are ok only ZB is crashing and it does not matter what I do, by sculpting, painting, projections, it just freeze and thats it.
