ZBrush clears files

Hello there I have little problem.

To make my work easier i did my character from parts. All parts of clothing were separated objects done in outside program and then imported to ZBrush to sculpt. I did that few times ( i mean imported models) and always could save and open zfile again.
But today sudenly he clears all files for some time back I didnt lost all work but I couldn’t open latest files and everytime I imported something sculpt it and had to close program next time i opened it file was totally clear.

I understand if it don’t save new object but clear all file? thats strange and what is mort important i never happened before :c

Is there chance to rescue those files ? it’s a lot of work there.

For convenience sake, I normally save the file I’m working on or in as a .zpr(ZBrush Project). ZBrush can save out files of many different types for tools and curves as well as lighting set ups and other things. If you save as a project, your imported objects should be there. Hopefully you have ZB4R6 P2.

Of course i am saving it as zproject
and open by clicking on it or by moving zproject icon to zbrush. No reaction.
but what is strange yesterday my computer restarted with no reason and when i opened zbrush i had hope that there will be some quicksaves. The quicksaves ware empty (i mean there were files but when i opened one of them file was clear)

I though it’s because I am importing objects to scene BUT earlier Zbrush haven’t problems with that.
Anyway i tried few different methods.
-when i imported model to scene i saved this model as ztool, reopened zbrush and used ztool to import that model again. After I imported that model as ztool tried to save to see what happens. File is clear again.

  • when I imported model to scene I joined it with rest of scene as other polygroup it worked but scene becomed messy because earlier object were finished and new were simply…
  • I though that it’s because I am not saving in zbrush location ( I had saparate folder for that “project”) but even when I save it in Zproject folder i can see it while opening zbrush but when I click it it file it’s clear.
