So I finally ordered my Ram update and 64 bit OS. I got 8 gigs (2 gb x 4) and Windows Vista 64. Vista seems to have more driver support than xp 64, and it works generally quite well on my laptop. I like to turn off a lot of the graphical features.

Anyway will I need to download a 64 bit version zbrush or will the current one work with the new OS?

Your current copy of 3.1 will work just fine on the 64-bit OS. ZBrush is a hybrid app, meaning that it’s 32-bit but is large address aware and can receive up to 4 GB of your system’s RAM. Given how much RAM you have, you’ll be able to set Preferences>Mem>Compact Mem to the max value of 4096.
