Hello. I wanted to know if there was any way to change the navigation in Zbrush 4R8 to make the program work in the same way as Mudbox and Substance.
The default navigation settings in Mudbox and Substance are:
Rotate: Alt+Left Click
Zoom 3D: Alt+Right Click
Move: Alt+Middle Click
Could someone please tell me how I could do this or maybe someone could direct me to a You Tube tutorial that could show me how it is done. Thank you.
At present, no not really. Classic navigation is hard coded, and right click navigation only works with right click. These functions are not exposed for remapping.
Zbrush is designed around use with a tablet, not a mouse, however there is a plug-in which gives navigation functionality to the middle mouse button. I don’t know if it works with the new version or not. There may be other third party solutions as well, though I cant speak for how well they work.

It’s important to remember that buttons like shift, ctrl and alt are extremely context sensitive in zbrush, and can’t be casually monkeyed around with without breaking a dozen other operations. Even if these functions were exposed for mapping, I 'm not sure it would be a simple matter to change them.
