Zbrush 4r4 Zsphere Rigging Issue

Hi Beautiful people on Zbrush Central!

It’s a couple of days I’m struggling on rigging my character…
I’ve been looking at this lovely tutorial

I have a mesh with 5 SDiv levels and I pose it at the lowest to keep everything smooth and nice…
After binding and posing my mesh on the zsphere rig when I press A to preview my results I loose all the sculpted detail which apparently worked fine in previous Zbrush versions…

It basically creates a smoothed mesh but without any detail from the selected mesh…

Hope it makes sense…

I’ve a feeling this hasn’t worked properly for a while. There is a solution:

  1. Turn off Preview (A) if it’s on.
  2. Set the Tool>Adaptive Skin>Density slider to 1.
  3. Turn on Preview (A).
  4. Press Tool>Export and save as an OBJ.
  5. Switch to the original model and subdivision 1.
  6. Import the OBJ.
