Zbrush 4R4 P2 Screen Hogging / System Hogging

Hi. Since i’ve been using the new 4R4 I’ve noticed that Zbrush has taken to hogging my system and largely compromising my ability to multitask.

Starting Zbrush alone seems to hog the machine

When I do a mass Process All in Decimation etc… It stops me from being able to alt tab and bring up Outlook or Photoshop. 3ds Max. And other things I use here at work. This is especially a problem at work as things pop up like urgent emails and warnings. The program is not working along side other Windows programs. It is now working quit against them. Covering my start bar. Hogging the machine during processing. And often times not allowing things to pop up in front of it (meaning I have to minimize it just to get to work in another program).

Is it possible to fix this? Right now luckily I have this window on the second monitor but I’m trying to get to my Outlook so I can sign up for a play test here at work and send pertinent emails. Thanks

Yeah, as hardware improves software becomes more complex and offers more features. More features means more processing. I noticed with decimation master if I clicked somewhere else zbrush would loose focus. A couple of years ago I updated my computer and have the old one sitting beside the newer one. I let zbrush do its thing and if I want to check mail I use the grandaddy comp :slight_smile:
