Hey guys. Just been setting up My UI for 4R4 and it seems that if I add “total points” and “active points” onto the top bar of my screen it wont save be there next time I launch zbrush.
These only show up in edit mode and while you have a proper 3d mesh.
This is interesting. I had tried to add those elements to my custom UI some time ago, but had the same problem as you, LeoAMD. This would’ve been 4R3, of course.
And they wouldn’t appear in edit mode or once I had a 3D mesh loaded, either.
Then, when I read your post earlier, it suddenly occurred to me to try to place Active/Total Points where I wanted them WITHOUT a Project/ZTool loaded, and then save it that way. That worked. They are now present in my custom UI when I start up (though, of course, they show no data until there is a mesh).
So I suggest you try editing your UI at start-up, with nothing loaded. I’m guessing this probably would’ve worked for me had I tried it back with 4R3, but it just never occurred to me, and I wasn’t bothered enough to pursue it.
Hope this all makes sense.
i have the same issue , but here is the fix :
firs off paste the plugin into your zbrush directory (get the plugin from the bottom ):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Pixologic\ZBrush 4R4\ZStartup\ZPlugs
then run zbrush
fallow this steps really precisely
in zbrush first click on the Preferences/Init Zbursh and init it
then go to Preferences/Config/Enable Customize - click it to make it active
then go to Preferences/Misc and hold ctrl+alt go to activepoints drag /drop it to the place where you want to be ,
do the same with the TotalPoints
then go to Preferences/Config/Store Config click to store
restart zbrush and have fun
here is the link with the plugin :
just click on the bottom download blue icon
