ZBrush 4R2b backwards compatibility problems

Hi,

I am working on a sculpt in Zbrush 4R2b… Unfortunately, my school has Zbrush 4R2 and cannot upgrade their computers until the end of the term. Is there any way I can make my 4R2b sculpt compatible for 4R2?

I am a tad frustrated because I can not work on a version of Zbrush that is fundamentally similar to 4R2b. I have not used fibermesh or any of the new features; I do not see why my sculpt shouldn’t be backwards compatible.

Any suggestions or help are greatly appreciated.

Switch back to your Z4R2 install and wait to upgrade to 2b until the term is over and your school catches up. The ability to work on your projects is more important than an update you’re not even using yet.

You’re right. I reinstalled Z4R2, but unfortunately my project only loads in 4R2B. How do I make my file compatible for 4R2?

I don’t think you can, but you can export a tool at the highest subdiv level, then import it into 4r2 and reconstruct subdivs.
