ZBrush 4R2 Unleashed!

Anyone else having trouble downloading the installer. It starts off at 200kbs and after 12mb drops off a cliff down 400bs, I don’t think I can wait 9 days for a download!

Just got mine ,installed and up and runnig.Thankyou so much guys
for working on a sunday. Cooooollll

Thank you, that’s fantastic!!! :+1:

I think they have been pacing the emails so the downloads don’t blow away their servers. Seems like they’re on the ragged edge right now from some of the posts around here.

Still, a little hard to understand in 2011…

It is great that you are working over the weekend. Mine arrived at 9:21AM Sunday. Perfect way to greet the day!

Having spent yesterday getting a taste of the tools watching the ZBrush Creatures Webinar, I was stocked and ready to go! Thanks to Ryan Kingslien and Cesar Dacol for giving a glimpse into DynaMesh among other tips and tricks. All much appreciated. It’s a lot to take in and absorb.

Also all the beta tester posts are inspiring. I look forward to what the Classroom will have online.

Immersion time. Full speed ahead!

oh f**** ! i got my golden ticket !

//youtu.be/hEhutIEUq8k

now i’m worried : everyone who didn’t have their golden ticket will try to kidnap me and burn me as an evil magician… you know, these persons who do magic stuff !

I just got mine too!!!
I feel more like I do now then I did before!
The temptation to Rick Roll you after that video of yours is stunning!! You do by the way, have fantastic shoes you happy bugger you!

GRIN!!!

I think there are a few people that get it as soon as there’s a stable release, and no waiting whatsoever. Close friends, and people ZBC staff thinks are better than other people  And I think this isn’t cool if it’s stated that we will all be treated equally. There is no equality in one getting it sooner then the other, and using the excuse that the servers would explode if everyone would get it at the same time is a perfect cover up for this (wouldn’t surprise if the servers were left slow intentionally to make it a perfect crime) :stuck_out_tongue:

If there’s for example a beta tester that is still waiting on his or her upgrade to R2 I’ll drop my charges. I don’t think beta testers are any more to thank to for promoting or making Zbrush a better software than any other Zbrush user per say. That call can only a money oriented person make, with no scruples and no real sensibility and empathy. The kind that devised Top row and competitions, or the kind that didn’t do anything about it.

Still waiting… :frowning:

Still waiting, but I’ve got a feeling it’ll be here within 1 hour.

You would have thought now that most people have R2 that the time has come to let the last few have their email and have some fun, surely the servers can’t be that busy now after sooooo long…

If there’s for example a beta tester that is still waiting on his or her upgrade to R2 I’ll drop my charges.

there is one I know. No charges then. But my charges have a bit different essence. Moderators may understand this better. I hope so.

Thank you Michalis! But I am still not convinced though that there aren’t people with privileges in this regard

About privileges, when zb4 released I was among the first. Nothing worked right, after. This time I will be the last and I hope it will work.

Still waiting for my email. :frowning:

I really hope the same, but with all due respect I will be the last

Went out for a walk around my little coastal village at around 5.20pm (UK GMT), there was gray clouds overhead and it was raining lightly. Listening to the radio on my mobile phone watching the waves splash against the rocks thinking to myself in whether I’d be waiting till Monday, Tuesday or even Wednesday… but anyway after my rather refreshing 45 min walk, I check out another old yahoo account to see what I’d find there…nope nothing new there… flick back to msn mail…humm I didn’t see that there five minutes ago and yep it was a rather ubiquitous emboldened mail message with Pixologic on it. Great  now I can discover what goodies it brings and try figure out how to use them which will be fun. Hopefully the issues I had before will be wiped out in this version and be more stable.

Having added ZBrush 4 to my toolset for a low price earlier this year after ending my upgrades last year with Cinema 4D 11.5 which has always required substantial financial investment to have a free upgrade is a bit of a revelation for a paid for application so thats nice.

I can go watch the video’s now

Cheers

Newbies to the ZBrush party definitely seem to have been punished with a looooooooooong wait on the golden ticket emails… At least it seems like that… Surely the pain will be over soon…

got mine earlier today… and Ive been playing with it ever since.

Im delighted by the new features, though some reference material is sorely needed to explain how some of this stuff works. over all its great. But Im sorely disappointed that its not available in 64bit and also that its not more stable than the last edition.

Ive been using it for 4 hours and its crashed on me 3 times, thats not good in anyones books, Im not even using big meshes. :frowning:

I love the dynamesh, thats amazing, but I cant figure out alot of the controls Ive seen used in the videos posted by the beta testers, and cant find enough reference material to explain how they work.

so its a mixed reaction from me.

@digi-mech Are you using the PC or Mac version?
