cheers and happy zbrushing!
chem!

You know whats something I havent seen yet that I am curious about. Are there any problems revisiting old projects with Dynamesh? Say I loaded up an old project that is up to sub D 5 or higher and I engage Dynamesh will there be any detail loss or smoothing or polishing that will change what I have? OR is dynamesh for lower sub D levels to begin with? Could someone that has their copy already enlighten me please. This wait is aweful I am sending my daughter to her grandmas tomorrow for the weekend and the plan is booze, as in I am going to get leg less all weekend because I know murphys law suggests My key will of course come last second. I probably deserve this for some obscure reason. no worries !

@idlemind
This tells you pretty much all you need to know about dynamesh:
http://www.pixologic.com/docs/index.php/Dynamesh

Dynamesh is ideally for working with low to medium resolution meshes. Much more than that and fine detail will be lost. Not to mention it just becomes too much performance wise. But you can “freeze” the detail on high subdivision levels, and reproject it after you have altered topology at the lower levels.

DM is for form, not detail, generally speaking.

Any tutorials out yet for R2?

I’m going on a shooting range, for relaxation of the 12 caliber

looks like i am one of the last guys to receive the upgrade again…

:(:(:frowning:  :(:(:frowning:  :(:(:frowning:

Actually they’re saving me for last.

apparently it is really random , but every upgrade i’ve been one of the last. They need a new randomizer dammit ;p

Is there a forum specifically for questions about zb4r2?

I’m wondering if we could build up a basic body part dynamesh library, and they paste them on as needed. For example, making ears, nose, mouth, ect, and then using those as building blocks to ad to a basic blob, rather than resculpting them each time.

Once added, they could all be manipulated as usual, to the new final desired shape, but things like making ears would be much faster, once we have the basic shape.

Z4r2 actually comes with a selection of “Mr. Potatohead” pieces like ears, nose, hands, etc in the tool palette, for insertion exactly as you describe. I’m sure there’s more in Lightbox.

Installed yesterday, cool features so far. Thanks!

But there is an annoying feature and I can’t disable it. It’s a kind of “always on top” window priority and I can’t see images from acdsee with top priority or folders on the program unless I minimize Zbrush.

Also trying to press Windows+D or going to desk icon and zbrush still on top!

Anybody have a solution for that?

I hadn’t even explored R2 far enough to discover that! I swear, they are almost making 3d sculpting too easy! Imagine being a kid with this kind of digital clay power!

I just got my email guys, they are still sending them out.

Now to download, install and play.

I got mine in the night … yay… just like good ol saint nick… thanks Pixo

too bad i’m away from my computer and won’t be able to play with it till tomorrow evening…

Haven’t played with it much but the documentation has already got me wired for it alone. I can’t thankyou guys enough for a) releasing this breakthrough of a program in the first place and b) supporting your customers like you have. I’m ALMOST tempted to buy a second copy that I never use just to support how much stuff you guys give us… hell, if I had the spare cash I probably would. My purchase of Zbrush is one the best purchases in my entire life and WELL worth every cent.

Keep up the fantastic work guys. There are no words…well…except for the ones I’ve typed here…I guess…ahem anyway. GOOD JOB!!!

Just wanted to say:

thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you.

ZBrush 4R2 Rocks, you guys are amazing.

Cant wait to see what ZBrush 5 will bring us.

Cheers Laticis

Thankyou Pixologic team, got my R2 last night, plenty to try out and test.

Are the emails sent to whatever email you provided when purchasing/activating ZB4?
