Also, in your display setting if you turn down your resolution a notch or two momentarily it will “snap” the window to your display res. Then, set the display back to your original settings and the snap should stick. You can then rearrange and save the UI.

I have an issue with the ui. It made me want to go buy a widescreen monitor which I love. However. My ui keeps losing the active and total point numbers and the totals number of subtools. Any ideas?

Hi dude, what you can do is store config when the scene is empty (your current and total point shows no number), after that it’ll stay there for good

Your display size is so small that there’s not room for all the buttons. That’s causing overlap. Collapsing the right Tray (by clicking the divider bar) should provide enough room. Otherwise, increase your display resolution.

I cant figure out how to make a custom ui for alphas.
Here is my workflow.
preferences - enable custom UI
Alpha - import - select alpha from pixologic/Alphas
control + alt drag the alpha to the menu
preferences Store config, or save UI
So I tried putting the imported alpha in Zstartup/Alphas and it still disappears. Ive also tried putting it in ZData/Alphas and no luck there.
I cannot seam to modify the list of alphas that loads on startup.

I just downloaded the trial version 4, thanks and thanks for these tutorials! I did notice one thing in this video, and that is the narrator says to hold down the Ctrl key when dragging items to the top of the UI to create a custom palette. I couldn’t get that to work, and had to come here to find that it should be: hold down Ctrl + Alt key simultaneously. Then I got it to work!
