yeah I have draw size 1! it seems more than some distance it is not working… 
I notice by your picture that you don’t have one of those points active. You do know that you hold down Ctrl key and click on point to make it active? If not, then Ctrl click on one of those points to activate then join.

That is definitely not right. Looks like you should start a support ticket.
I’m still having some problems with retopology, well first of all I totally suck at it :), however this isn’t the issue, will attach some images and try to explain the problem
- If I try to append a Zsphere to the model and retopo that way, whenever I move out of the area where the zsphere is, the "retopo cursor disapears and instead the cursor to rotate appears, I can still put vertices though, it’s annoying though, what’s even more annoying is that whenever I managed to hover over the “hidden” retopo zsphere behind the model, the retopo cursor+symetry appears on that instead of on the model I’m trying to retopo, maybe you can make it see it in the picture

- well onto my next problem then :), if I try to retopo the normal way with rigging etc, I have the same problem as everyone else, I see through the model and can’t really make out what vertices are in front and which are behind when I have alot of them, so I was happy to read the answer that you can go into preferences/draw and change the front opacity, however when I do this, this is what happends, the vertices and the edges disapear inside the model like in the picture so it’s still hard to retopologize it

Im having so many issues with this tool.
It´s things like when you put a vertecies in the middle of a line, to split it, it mos of the time creates a new line instead of splitting the one it should.
Any ideas on this? Or have people given up completely in this tool?
