zBrush 4 R3 and C4D - fibermesh and vector displacement map compatibility

Just wanted to know if you can export fibremesh to hair in C4D (as splines?) and how compatible zBrush vector displacement maps are in Cinema. I created the diagnostic files and loaded in the OBJ file but none of the objects appear spherical. Number 3 is the roundest I guess - see attached render. Is this C4D not coping with vector displacement maps or a zBrush C4D thing?
