I just updated to r2b and was getting around to making mechanical parts that could be used in different circumstances. But then I came across an issue unless they changed something in this release. I would make a mask on say a polysphere and go to make a mesh extraction of said mask with default settings. It would create the mesh and I would see it there but if I turn the camera or try to click the subtool via holding down alt the mesh disappears. I should also note that it doesn’t create new subtool in the palette either. What could be causing this?
Also as a side question been meaning to ask this. When making a turntable in Zbrush how do you maintain the speed and duration of it as seen in zbrush when you export it? For example I have a 5sec slow turning 360 degree turnaround of a model when I view it in Zbrush but once I export the movie (I’ve tried various formats) the movie is like 2-3 secs long and spins much faster than when i viewed it in Zbrush. So to repeat my question how do you maintain the consistency of your turntable movie in Zbrush to your exported video file? Usually I try to take the video into movie maker and just slow it down but then it just gets choppy rather than a smooth turntable like I want.
The Extract feature now provides a real-time preview before it extracts. This allows you to make sure you’re happy with the extraction before committing to it. That way, if you don’t like the results you can simply adjust the settings rather than having to select the new SubTool, delete it and start over.
