Zbrush 4 animation

hello everyone.

I have been playing with the animation features of zbrush 4 over the past few days.

I wanted to find out if there is any way to output the videos with alpha channels included?

I also wanted to find out if itโ€™s possible to output the video to a large viewing size โ€˜HDโ€™ for example

If anyone could let me know if all this is possible I will share internet hugs and kisses followed by kart wheeling around my room.

thanks for hearing me out

for the alpha channel, Iโ€™ve been filling the model with white, changing the background to black with no gradient, and rendering in Flat render mode (could also use flat material) You have to render twice doing this, but it should be really fast. Also this allows you to render out alphas for specific subtools, if you fill all the other subtools with black. This way you can use different compositing hierarchies for each subtool to get different results.

for the size, just set the document size to whatever you need in the document panel (HD 720 is 1280x720 and HD 1080 is 1920x1080 I believe.) Then set the movie record mode to large (100%) in the movie panel so it records at full resolution (default is medium).

hope this helped :stuck_out_tongue:

hi artesia

thanks very much for your help, I worked it out in the end, slightly different method I used, I did a green backdrop and keyed it out in after effects worked like a charm. Im re rendering tye video again now in higher quality that tip was a life saver.

case closed !

now I absolutely love z4 more and more <3
