Just got back home from work. Iām still trying to get activation after a few days! Thought I would google Zbrush 4 and would you believe it!!! The damn Warez sites have got it, cracked it and using it!!

Dumb question maybe but what are the advantages if any of using polypaint in Zbrush as oppose to using bodypaint to texturing?
If youāre working within Zbrush, you can avoid worrying about UVs and just get down to painting. Some people will possibly enjoy that workflow even if they are exporting their model, but considering the advantages dedicated texturing apps have over Zbrush at the moment, I think the first one is the main advantage.
The wait is making me go crazy! So much to do haha!

Sup guysā¦ i havent even opened zbrush in forever, but my friend told me he got the ZB4 email yesterday and to keep an eye out for mine. I still havenāt seen it yet, and now iām wondering if iāve even done what i need to so i get the upgrade? haha I purchased a copy (and sent off for 3.5CD) and activated and used it a bit here and thereā¦ registered on these forums etcā¦ crap now iām second guessing myself wondering if iām even getting it. I donāt remember even getting a zbrush related e-mail and iāve had it for a good 6+ months 
been stuck on the activation page for a while now

We just have slowed down the sending of upgrade emails in order to relieve some of the server strain. The problem right now is that when a few people encounter a problem they keep trying again and again while more people try for the first time and it snowballs.
By slowing down the outflow of upgrade emails, this should let people with upgrade links get it downloaded and activated with many fewer spikes of high traffic. This will in turn shrink the snowball to keep things running smoothly.
The down side is that this means that the last upgrade emails will now go out on Sunday rather than Friday.
Iām going to do a blog post ( http://polygonspixelsandpaint.tumblr.com ) on this since I am a relatively recent convert to Polypainting and ZB 4ās better texturing workflow is the main reason Iām finally converted. The big advantage to Polypainting is that itās UV agnostic - it works on the model, not the UVs so you can sculpt and paint and massively change the model without being forced to rebuild your UVs and bake the texture to remapped UV meshes (a huge, time consuming headache when working with UV models). You can rebuild your UVs at any time and just export UV mapped textures bumped down from Polypaint. It saves a lot of time and this is the main thing that PTex aims to solve for programs like Mudbox. The good thing with Polypaint is that you donāt have to do away with UVs completely. I would guess it will take a few years for PTex to offer the workflow benefits and then let you bake back to UVs for game models, etc.

Please clarify lack of 64-bit suppoet. Iāve spent the last two days trying to get my copy downloaded and activated and it doesnāt have 64-bit support??
