ZBrush 3 Beta Images

You´re all superb and I don´t find words to discribe how cratefull i can be. Lost of all words I have ideas…
I think we all ZBrushers really should give Pixologic some unique present for all their hard work. It is absolutely least thing we can all do to say thanks.

Anyone interested about my idea of tributing the Pixologic, please feel free to contact me: [email protected]

Should this be absolut secret before giving the present.

ZBrush -What else do you need?

Welcome back s o u t h e r n, your talent has been missed around here.

I’ve not seen it mentioned but for those lucky ones who have had the chance to play with 3.

Is it possible to create a zsphere ring?

El-d

Going by the videos the transpose uses a Zsphere rig.

I think he means RING, a closed loop of zspheres.

I hope you’re right, the early videos certainly did but these latest ones look to me like its’s some sort of combination of a rotate tool and masking. That sounds pretty clumsy but I’m sure there’s more to it when you look at the complex poses beta testers have produced.

Watching the two older videos on posing again, shows posing to be working very well, however looking at the ZBrushPreview_Rhino.mov whch is more recent than the woman video, it shows clearly there is no masking used to pose.

Current posing in ZB2 uses the draw size as to the influence of zsphears which acts as a kind of IK, FK influence. If this system was redifined there would be no use for masking to control this effect unless problems where there.

Speculation gets us nowhere, we will soon find out, but thats my observations. Either way Pixologics team know what works best and thats what we wil be getting in 6 days.

That Rhino vid is pretty old too, I was talking about the posing in the next step video which does appear to use masking. You’re right though, no point in speculating, we’ll find out soon enough!

Apparently zsphere rigs still exist, according to comments on the boards.

Zsphere rigs, you need to set them up first, but they are always there.

Transpose, it looks to me that the tool automatically masks as you use it. So you draw the tool line, and the stuff not ‘affected’ by that tool line is automagically masked. Transpose is instantaneous ( No need to rig ). Also, from watching the video, it appears you can adjust how sharply the mask is applied.

So I suspect both have their benefits and drawbacks.

Fantastic test and images, can’t wait

in about 2 hours it’s the 15th of may here…

What timezone do we have to wait for?

Hi this is my first post and I don’t have Zbrush (yet) but I was wondering how people got chosen as beta testers. Great artwork by the way.

I seriously doubt that you’ll get an answer to that question from anyone in the know. Anyone who is a beta tester had to sign an NDA, which means they can’t discuss any details publicly.
Meanwhile, Pixologic continues to hold their cards close to their vest, and has said almost nothing about the Mac development, other than they are working on it.
There have been absolutely no official estimates of release dates, and progress reports are extremely vague, and almost non-existent.
There was a thread for news on the mac version, but since almost no news ever appeared on it, it turned into a place for frustrated mac users to vent, and pc users to gloat, until Pixologic finally just shut it down.
All you can do is wait, be hopeful, be patient, and be quiet.

Beta testor’s exist generally as a result of bribery (or a good supply of firearms  ). For a couple of past beta testing opportunities with Zbrush I had to provide several cows, a sea turtle, a couple of New York wino’s and some really old Kimchi.

I don’t have anything left to bribe with. My wife said something under her breath and I saw flames dancing in the air…

NOTE: For those not taking this in jest. Dual by Space Invaders anytime, anyplace!

hello, Nice image. I like all the image in this thread.
thanks to all to share it.

 loking good
