Zbrush 3.5R2 crash followed by strange startup error

I installed the updated version and found the new features quite interesting indeed. Aside from the Z add Z sub switch, I liked it overall. When attempting to sculpt in HD, Zbrush crashed. When I attempted to load it again, there was nothing for a while, just the hourglass. Then a window popped up saying it couldn’t load the logo.

Kinda weird.

First thing to ask is, have you installed any plugins or other ZStartup content in 3.5?

No, I haven’t. I actually resolved the issue myself. It’s a little strange though. I think it had to do with the shortcut I created. I drag created the shortcut into the start menu which then seemed to function like the executable was in the start menu itself which would explain why it couldn’t find the logo within the documents and setting sub-folders when the program itself was on a separate partition! I also re-downloaded the registration key and slid it into the programs root folder. I’m not sure if it really had an affect on anything, but the erratic behavior described earlier resolved itself so I am happy. So I no longer get crashes when trying to sculpt in HD nor does the zsketch act over zealously as it did earlier. Also the Zadd/Zsub flip flop is no longer. So I am now much more satisfied and beginning to enjoy this new version.

Thanks.
