Moni-Poroni - and who’s fault is it that youre slow at learning things?
My own
LOL
What do you mean WHERE? NOWHERE. Dont you know that funboys are happy enough with their own imagination about new version? They do not need official info - they just “feel” that whatever is coming is good.
There is absolutely no info about whats coming and when. Every bloody company on earth can manage to give date of release and stick to it or inform about new date in case of some problems - only Pixologic cant.
And yes, their software IS damn good. And yes, I will not switch to mudbox or whatever is out there. But hell - I feel like a b*tch with this Pixologic’s attitude.
Tick-tock, tick-tock.
Somebody call the bomb squad.
Most software companies don’t give you a firm date of relase. Just an FYI from someone who works at a software company.
Tick-tock-Tick-tock… check out Modo 401’s preview, looks good, ZB and Modo should make a good combo, or may ZB 3.5 is going to knock our socks of… no preview…? Tick-tock-Tick-tock…
The current ZB with Modo make a exelent combo, I can vouch for that. I used Both programs in my last project which was shown in 3D World issue 112, it was the Shoei X eleven helmet.
Modo realy dose make good use of the displacments and normal maps from Zbrush.
That’s good to hear. I was looking at the Modo 401 preview, this program seems to be a good value for money. Most of the expensive packages still need extra modules and add-ons to make the magic happen, like hair and render modules. I was looking at Cinema 4D, and I’ve heard great things about it, but then the hair, body paint and ‘better’ rendering are all separate modules that makes a rich man poor! So far as what I see on Modo’s site, this looks like a very professional, all in one solution.
I was very close to getting C4D, in fact I had saved, and was going to get the studio version ,which would have made me flat broke. What stoped me was the poor SSS, even with other moduals that have been made for SSS, its still a long way off Modos SSS, which produces better results in much less time.
XSI Essencials, again I was close, but I got very poor, and slow responce from Softimage during the time when the offer was on for upgrading from foundation to Essencials. They simply didnt want my custom enougth.
Both Maxon and Luxology realy shine here, shine by where I didnt feel like iv been sold somthing from a Box pusher that cares about money, then their user base or prospective user.
I had prety much the same feeling about Pixologic, in that Mathew on support actualy answered my questions in full, and the community was there to help in my learning process.
No you’re not the only one.
I like ZB just the way it is for now.
Yeah, guys I agree, after 2 years I am still learning, but then I still have to go to external programs to get certain things done, which is not good, id you have two girl friends, you can still only marry one (that is in certain country’s)…
And one should never let the opposition get the upper hand… hand a look a 3D Coat, has one or two nice features but ZB still rules…
Ziggy
hahahah…lol:lol:
I nearly forgot how funny and refreshing reading zbrushcentral posts can be …especially when so much users are waiting for a new update.
Aurick is god.
From not having multiple heart strokes along with serial nervous breakdowns deserve a nobel prize in itself.
Is there such a thing as nobel prize for software support?
(and whinning endurance)
Use Magnify instead of inflat,it works like a charm on tris model s
Keep pinch as last brush strokes…
(encompass the whole chunk with brush radius before pressing A)
Export while in HD mode and Import backs HD chunks
Use Project All to restore Hd details to subtools(using same Uvgroups)
…it works:D
problem with your morph target method is that if you make many changes after you store your morph target you end up changing it back. but there are many workarounds for this issue.
nice tip about the HD subtools, have yet to try it though.
Yeah,I know…but once you’re done toning down the current detail pass, you just make a new morph target…I know it’s not as convenient. But it’s impossible to make a perfect gamemodel purely out of quads…tris are essential ,designwise. (retopologizing with quad restrain is stressful, especially when you know a good old tri would just get the shape perfect)
oh i know, i’ve spent countless hours going insane making quad only meshes.
Any news if the new 3.5 update will recognize more than 4 GB of RAM on 64 bit systems? I have 8 GB and as far as I am concerned this is the only feature I really care about. I want more space to work with.
Tick Tock, tick tock, tick tock…
Any things you have to wait for is usually good, red wine, mature steak, blue cheese… Etc… and now ZBrush 3.5…
After reading the very brief read up in 3Dworld issue 114 regarding Zbrush, it leads me to think that the current Mac problems are holding things back. The Mac version is in much worse state than the PC, plus it was only intended to be a bridge over untill v3.5 is avalible. It was said that its not unlikly for there to be a patch for the mac till 3.5 comes about.
Im not a programmer, but from my view with the applications iv used, the Mac always seems to get the short straw. The last platform to get implemented, and upgraded.
I read more issues on the Mac platforms with the software I use than the PC. Is this just somthing im seing, or not? Im not againts the Mac platform, but its these things that have kept me away from perchasing one.
