Gotcha, simple enough. Thanks Support guy.
I saw that this was possible, so I had no worries about installing the new version(s). This is perhaps the nicest feature yet! THANKS!!!
Err, this may have been answered, looked through these threads and missed it but is there any indication on when the plugs will be updated? (decimation mater, paintstop and what not?) (here I go opening my mouth and confirming I am indeed a fool)
This may be a completely ridiculous question, but I’m going to ask anyway.
I’m currently taking a hiatus from all of my 3D projects, so I’m not as eager to install 3.5 as I probably should be. (Real Life issues )
Could anyone tell me if my choosing to wait at least until Window7 arrives to install an activate 3.5 is gonna cause me any troubles later on?
No troubles, take your time, upgrade when ready.
One thing that I’m noticing is that when in polypaint mode I can no longer hold SHIFT to smooth/blend colors. Instead, the sculpting smooth brush gets activated and the shape of the mesh gets affected. This happens even when only MRGB is on and ZSUB/ZADD are off.
Is it a new bug or am I forgetting a setting somewhere?
It works for me. Are you setting your smooth brush to RGB or MRGB instead of your sculpting brush? Holding down the SHFT key changes your brush to the current smoothing brush, letting you adjust it’s behavior. It could also be that you are smoothing on a very high subdivision level, try going down in levels and see if the smoothing brush is more responsive.
Hi Joel, thanks for the reply. I just had to turn off ZAdd after holding shift, not before
hey guys maybe its just me, but i can’t find the smooth 4 brush in my UI in brush palette and in brushes at bottom row either…it has disappeared in 3.5R2?
Maybe this has been asked and answered b4, but I’m to lazy to read through 500 pages just in case. Is there a list of new features in ZB 3.5. I’m hoping there are some new re-topo tools:p
I cant seem to turn prims into polymeshs i click the button in the tool pallet and it does nothing i can’t save from that pallet either but i can save ztls from the document save as tool this is so wierd…
sorry I just realized after i was in the wrong thread

Actually, Im not sure if this question has been formerly answered. However, Im betting that, based on past releases, it could be a while.
I myself have many of these useful plugs installed for 3.1 and have no real problem with simply using 3.1 when some of these applets are needed. After all, despite any “improvements” made in 3.5, v3.1 is still a strong, valid app.
In terms of Decimation Master, Im guessing it can still be used on a 3.5 based model by exporting/importing an .obj file. So, for this plug-in at least, there seems to be a valid workaround.
Just hold out a bit…the updates will arrive. Personally, Im more interested in an integrated help/tutorial system at this time.
Thanks and yeah I have my 3.1 with DM and all installed also, curious though when they will make it to 3.5 and perhaps some clarification whether this or that is integrated and if not when it will be. I really love the releases but its odd to not have something from the last release that we were all stoked about, yah know? I dont want to have 3 versions of ZB installed all supporting differing plugs and so forth.
Cheers,

Yeah… (as referenced before) it would certainly be nice if Pixologic could start releasing current versions of ZBrush with previous (and updated) plug-ins integrated vs. having to wait for upgraded versions which are only available via download. But, then again, if such features were included within the final release, we could be forced to wait that much longer for a “useable” program. Who knows? Either way…it is what it is.
Image Plane also isn’t working with 3.5 right?
I’m wondering if Dam Standard Brush come default with 3.5r under a new name.
Yah its all good, just seems odd. Im happy to wait pixo always does their best IMO
No plug-ins are updated for 3.5 yet.
