Uggggh! Day After Day No Mac Release! …please, This Is Just So Disappointing!
Time to get a PC.
…You may be right, since i cant live without ZB and these new features in 3.5 would be incredibly useful NOW…It would sure save me allot of disappointment and getting my hopes up, believing in false release dates…man this is torture! wahhhh! I know! Have some sympathy for us Mac users would ya! …COME ON PIXO, RELEASE THE BEAST!
Tell me about it. I got a quad-core imac just dying to test out some zsketching, but if wait we must…
A personal computer? I have one, it was manufactured by Apple and it runs OSX, it will even run Windows if there’s no way to avoid it! Or are you suggesting Mac users swap over to Windows? It’s possible to swap back and forth between OSX and Windows but it’s a pain in the butt. So that means buying a new OS and replacing most of your software or at least transferring licenses at a cost in most cases - just for ZB? Not going to happen, not here anyway.
Is there anyone using ZBrush for Windows using Crossover on the OS X ? Is this possible ? Thanks for reply.
Hope the demo for Mac is ever released.
I dont use a Mac, and dont think I ever will. Is it just shear chance that the software im using is a pain to code for mac, or is this somthing that happends with most software?
It seems Mac users just fair badly, while the PC users can pick n choose any app they desire. Where as if im looking for Mac software, its either still in development, or not supported at all. Please can somone help me understand why people still buy Macs, id love to know?
Im not slamming Macs, I just need to understand as this has always confused me for years.
ZB is one of just a few apps that are really not on Mac (in the current form, just outdated version). Most apps that you want to use on Windows exist there and often are better than what you have on Windows. There is always option to use Windows environment in hosted VM. I use IE to check my web applications using Crossover, I can have multiple instances of different IE and it runs better than original (easy to restart if there is any trouble etc.). So I can have all the Windows can provide if I want, plus I have apps that are unique to Mac OS, plus I have arguably better OS and better hardware. Is it enough reason to use Mac ? I don’t see the reason to use Win only computer, besides the low cost ones are cheaper.
…Stillll no Mac version 3.5…wow, …AHHH MAN, THIS IS TORTURE! wah! i know but, come on!!!
I love my Mac. It just feels, and looks better to me than a windows machine. I hate using windows machines. But, I do find the waiting game for some Mac versions of software very frustrating - Especially always being at least a year behind windows users with updates of ZBrush.
Sometimes, I consider installing windows on my Mac Pro, but I would much prefer not too.
If I had lots of money to throw around, I would seriously consider getting a PC as a companion to my Mac Pro for certain PC friendly software, but I’m heavily invested in the Mac platform, and would prefer not to invest in a second platform.
