Zbrush 3.5 installation problem

I’d go to the support site to ask this but the site down.

There were no installation instructions included with the 3.5 zip file, so I just extracted it into my pixologic folder, separate from the 3.0 zbrush folder. When I try opening the 3.5 exe I get the error message “This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.”

Since there is no installation program, and I can only extract from a zip file, I’m not sure how to fix this. I’m using XP x64 btw. Any help?

You need to use the exe that is included within the troubleshooting directory. This is a Microsoft installer which installs windows API’s that are missing in your system.

Didn’t work for me…
I tried to uninstall the C++ redistribuable and then reinstall the 2008 SP1 version but I have this message:

My computer is a quad core with vista 64bits ultimate with 8 gigs of ram…

Ive got to the point of online activation and all goes fine …until it tells me to copy and paste my activation key .

Licence activation failed …activate your license by web email phone.

I redo steps with the same result.

I also read that i need a ativation file by email and place it in one of my folders,but has not come through yet.

Is this correct & why it wont activate with just the activation key?

The OP had his problem addressed 19 hours ago.

General 3.5 installation questions are addressed in, and should go to, the 3.5 sticky at the top of the page.

For activation issues, you must contact support directly, as they cannot assist you over the open forum with the various codes and numbers involved.
