Well, I guess thanks are in order for my free upgrade. Woohooo…
OK, I got an error when jumping through the many many hoops to get this thing working. I swear the guys at Pixologic are super paranoid or something and make nearly impossible to get it OK’d and up and running.
I got my notice, downloaded the zip. Unpacked it, realized it’s not an executable setup exe but the entire program is just there. So I moved that to the Programs folder and then double clicked the exe and up popped the first screen to register. SO I click the Web option and got an error message saying my Java wasn’t enabled. Yea it is enabled. So then after a few more tries it realizes it is enabled and I guess sends P a notice. They send me an email and it’s got my Registration thank you with the same Serial code that I got from the first page. OK, so I have a serial code, I saw no where to put that in the program. SO after fiddling around a bit more with refreshing pages, cussing and high blood pressure bs I finally got another message from P with an activation code. I enter that and well now it’s saying the activation has failed.
I give up. I’ll have to call them tomorrow when I have more time to waste on this crap. I swear! Thanks allot for the wasted morning P! :evil:

Did read somewhere that if you purchased your Zbrush through Cleverbridge you have to send pixologic your Cleverbridge reference number in order for them to send your e-mail to download the update?

Yep. You need to get a support site account setup with your ZB serial AND the Cleveridge number. I did mine the 1st day support opened up. You just have to dig through your emails to find that number. It should be on your original order/receipt.
Looks like both the main pixologic page and support site is down.
Is it 64 bit? Basically can you set the memory to 4096+? The last version was only 32bit memory wise.

I wonder if us Mac users will also bog down the servers when it’s our turn to download ZBrush 3.5. I’ve always been curious what the difference is in numbers of ZBrush customers on Windows to those of us on Macs.
I hope so, because I’ve got a few gigs of RAM thats not being used by 3.1.

I think they mentioned that the emails would be going out gradually, taking around 2 business days from the day the upgrade was announced. So you may have to wait till Monday before you get alarmed. I’m really anxious about this as well, hopefully we will get it before the weekend!
