zbrush 3.5 and multi tile uvs/displacement?

Is there a way to export multiple displacement maps using 3.5’s built in displacement export that respects the tiled uv’s, as the previous Multi Displacement exporter did?

The pkugin would save multiple maps named 1001, 1002, etc. Does 3.5 have any way to replicate this?

There doesn’t seem to be a MultiDisplacement Exporter plug in anymore… so I’ve tried using the displacement tab, but this only works for single UVtile meshes. I think the answer lies in the new zb option HD displ exporter? I think …but I don’t know where this is or how to use it yet…

Yeah, well, after getting zero replies here, I figured out how to do it for now without the multi displacement plugin.

Brilliant! Could you tell me how you did it?

… and me :). Splitting it in multple Subtools sucks.

I request the support to answer this…
Do we have multi -Displacement map in Zbrush 3.5 r3 …if not what are the alternatives…
If we Have Multidisplacement In Zbrush 4 … Still How many Weeks we have to Wait… Can U please tell Us The planning Release Date…

I figured it out too, but I’m gonna spill the beans!

Okay… in ZB 3.5 make sure you select UV groups. Check wireframe and all each group will have a different colour. CTRL + ALT click first group e.g. the head. ZB will mask every other body part (n.b. this is all ‘one’ subtool). Generate your displ map.

Now in Maya select one UV from the head, then click select shell. Turn to faces (hazaa!!) and add you displ to just the head!!

And it works!

hmm thank you guys…

Hey all, it’s not a matter of spilling the beans, it’s a matter of Pixologic explaining this fundamental change of functionality. I have what I feel is merely a temporary solution at the moment (multiple uvs through polygroups and subtools) - I think that they need to clarify these types of details.

The simpler displacement/uv interface seems to work great overall, but I’d like to hear some definitive workflows for more complex multiple uvs etc. Removing the plugin that provided a one stop export of multiple maps is fine, but we need to understand how they recommend doing these with the revised toolsets.

i totally agree. if u have the time check my post. I am having problems with z3.5 also http://www.zbrushcentral.com/showthread.php?t=81430
