ZBrush 3.2 Mac ---> 3.5 R3 File Converter

Hello there! We have created a special converter for users who run both ZBrush 3.2 for Mac and 3.5R3 for the PC. This converter makes it possible for PC users to open files that were created on the Mac (such as Materials, ZTools or Documents). For those who need to transfer 3.2OSX files to Win 3.5R3 version, please use the following link to download a special secondary ZBrush 3.5R3 executable (named ZBrush_MacToWin_FileConvert) that is able to read the 3.2OSX files and save these in a format that can be used by anyone with version 3.5R3.

Instructions:
1. Download the File Converter
2. Unzip the file and place the executable in your current ZBrush 3.5 R3 main folder.
3. Whenever you need to convert from 3.2 to 3.5, simply launch the converter executable, load the 3.2 file(s) and save again (possibly under a different name).
4. You may now launch the regular ZBrush 3.5R3, which should be able to load your converted file(s).

We hope that this helps those of you who wish to work across both platforms! (note that it is not possible to convert a file from 3.5 back to be able to be used by version 3.2).

Happy ZBrushing! :slight_smile:

I was unable to run the Zbrush_MacToWin_FileConvert.exe under WindowsXP.

Is there any way that a 3.5r3 windows file can be converted to Mac 3.2 ?

My school only has 3.5r3 on their windows boxes and I have Mac OS at home and can’t afford to get a windows license to use ZB via bootCamp.

thanks, in any case.

Yeah, there’s a problem running it on XP. It never finishes launching. Just creates a blank splash screen that becomes any graphics you slide over it.

Any idea when the new features in 3.5 r3 will be available for Mac osx? I have been trying to watch the tutorials for Zspheres and have been having a hard time relaying what I am seeing in the tutorials to 3.2.

Has anyone been able to get this to work properly?
