using blender and zb2 … i guess cuz i’m what some people would say noobe and proud one LOL
and that basically just means that even if they come out with version 10.8 or whatever… if i can’t handle zb2 how can i even begin to think what i can do with zb3.whatever… so basically yeah great to all those real pros who need it and hope to see some eye souring jaw breakin and heart breaking stuff in here… until then… a few more weeks wont kill me LOL
but still awesome on pixologic to finally give us mac user the chance to use the new tools such as zmapper, thaspose, subtools withought the minumun 10 giga, 500 ram and some number for the video card just to open a second program…
i’m just glad i stumbled apon this great program while studying with maya, and then on to this great web site which i totally love and will give my part as soon as i can and have something worth your while… and thankx to this eb site getting to know blender and uvlayout for my workflow…

You should start gearing up your mac… stand on the corner and ask people for RAM money.
Buy a new mac keyboard and 24" display
Get a nice wacom!
Try to get 8 gigs of ram in your mac! “Or more even”
It’s ok to lie cheat and steel to get the ram you need. God understands!!!
Start getting all your house work done and stock up on hot pockets and water so you don’t have to leave the house for weeks.
If you have a wife and kids… Ditch them… you’ll need time to work in zbrush.
If you work in a office, get a lock put on your door so your co-works can’t come in and tell you about there crappy life and stuff.
Sell your TV and iphone and ipod… They don’t have a Zbrush HD channel yet and your iphone can’t run zbrush… nor can that lil ipod.
Go around town and break peoples Windows vista and xp boxes and replace them with MAC’s. We need more people in the MAC Zbrush army.
Also you can do what I did… Kidnap a 17 year old kid from china and make him use Zbrush on your other mac. Everyone should have a back up mac just in case you pass out on your man mac and vomet on it from working to hard in zbrush. Plus the kids from china will love working on zbrush after making nike shoes all those years. Don’t forget to chain them to the mac and put a GPS chip in their butts… You don’t want them to get way!!

Here is an interesting read about Snow Leopard and how it handles large amounts of RAM. Please note, I’m not trying to bash the Windows OS or Windows users here. Just thought it would be of interest to Mac enthusiasts.

You just get sick of something that you’ve used for so long and just want change.
I got to the point with windows that even looking at that START button made me sick. And if you use any OS long enough it will let you down blow up and go bad when your working on a deadline job.
Vista is a copy cat of OS X and we all know that’s true. I’m sad that MS didn’t try to come up with something new. I’ve used vista before and after the service pack and something is just wrong with it. I think the next OS from MS will be something different and usable. Until then I’ll learn to dislike OS X but so far it’s been a breath of fresh air.
I think snow leopard will help out with some of the slowness in leopard right now. Sometimes it seems to be slow on simple task. But I’m a OS X noob. I’m still learning. I really like the new apple keyboards. They feel very nice and seem to be made very well. I LIKE METAL!!!

I agree. This is the wrong thread for Windows vs Mac rants. There was enough of that in the other ZBrush for mac thread. People use whatever OS they want and that is their choice. ZBrush will be available for both of them at the end of this month and that can only be seen as a good thing. There is now a choice. Be thankful. I am!
I Agree… as a mac user, we don’t need to discuss our advantages against pc… We need to know ways to improve the finnest tunning of ZB 3.12 in our machines…
In a Macpro Xeon quad 2.66 / 13GB of RAM… Wich settings will be the finnest in the MEM prefernces Pannel?
