ZBrush 2 (Mac) license - revoked after 3.12 release?

After some hiccups I have successfully upgraded ZBrush 2 for Mac to version 3.12. Now, two things. First of all, a sincere thank you to everyone at Pixologic for all your hard work not only in developing the new version for the Mac, but also for all your efforts in ironing out the difficulties with the upgrades. Thank you!

Second, whither the old ZBrush 2 license? Now that I’ve upgraded, is the license now invalid? I ask because I noticed earlier this week that ZBrush 2 had stopped recognising my activation (on both machines it was installed on) and I was unable to run the program - and this was before I had received the 3.12 upgrade. If the license is revoked by the upgrade that’s fine, but I’m just curious if it’s that or if it’s more likely a separate issue on my end.

How did you get ZB 2 to run on your MacIntel? Mine is installed on both my G4 workstation and my old G3 iBook. v3.1 (PC) and v3.1.2 (Mac) are installed on my MacBookPro.

I didn’t do anything special to get it running intially, just brute force and a LOT of patience.

I had read that if you keep force quitting and restarting it will eventually run, so that’s what I did. Once it’s got past startup it’s fine. Then I disabled the startup screen and it froze less often, say only 9 out of 10 time.

So yeah, I’m definitely happy about the upgrade!
