Just wanted to say a big Thanks! to E. Great Smooth Brush Plug.

Heya,

I gotta agree ZBrush 3.1 is a little buggy but I think if you do a search you can find some scripts to work around th esmooth and undo problems.

My version has been working fine so fr. wih the help of E’s smooth brush plug-in as well as marcus_civis’s hotkey script edit on the undo hotkey.

Kudos to those guys!

THanks E,really not good enough Pixologic changed this,Have been using zb2/2.5 mostly as i found the smooth brush and other features poor in comparison.
Come on Pixologic sort this out.It should not be the job of posters on here to do your work!

This may seem like a strange request as you might remember how I praised your new smooth brushes earlier in the thread, but I’ve actually come around to liking the default 3.1 way of smoothing for initial sculpting. Somehow it feels a bit more natural with the rougher results it produces. Slightly closer to a knife or spatula on clay, in a way.

But in the later sculpting stages I can’t do without the ‘new_smooth 4’, though.

However, for the initial sculpting I actually think that even more of a flattening effect when ‘shift’-smoothing would be of great use, especially since I, and I guess many others, start a sculpt by blocking in the desired planes.

So: Would it be possible for you to make a ‘new_smooth’ that flattens even more than the 3.1 default one?

If it’s not too much trouble, of course…

yeah I can see where you would want that.

All you need to do to do this is select the smooth brush.

go to the brush palate and under smoothing cruve. adjust the curve so that it has even more of a convex curve. like a quarter circle almost. the more convex that curve the flatter the brush will be. the more concave and the smoother it will be.

You don’t need to apologise, but you apparently need to work on it. Try a spell check in English. “Sorry for my crappy English” is literally the only full sentence I can make out in all of this message.

Ok, Thanks for reply, E.
