ZB to Maya Approximation Editor problem

Hello

I am having problems with displacement maps and the MR approximation editor in Maya. The N subdivision is set to 3 but when I render I get strange artifacts on the hands. If a set the setting to DeriveFromMaya the artifacts are gone, but the displacement looks bad. I followed the Scott Spencer tutorial on how to create displacement maps for Maya, Has anyone had this problem before and is there a solution to it.
