zb for mac or pc?

I want to purchase zbrush and I am not sure which platform to choose. I mostly work under os x but can install windows on my mac if need be (prefer not to). I have read that zbrush for mac lags in features and never gets upgraded and is left neglected for months/years behind for windows version. Is this issue a thing of the past. I don`t want to spend an extra $300 on cross platform just to be safe. Can anyone confirm that the mac devs at pixologic are still extending their lunch breaks by months or are they back to good?

Anyone? It´s getting more tempting to just whistle zbrush until I get an answer on where to spend this money

Hello

I use ZBrush on Mac since 3.0. All i can say is that ZBrush as been developped in non synchronised stage in version 3.12, 3.2.
One version was more advanced on MAC (i think it was 3.12) the other one more advanced on PC (3.2). Mac user have never see a 3.5 version.

Pixologic claimed that they want to deliver both version in a synchronize way and they did it with ZB4. The MAC and PC versions are nearly the same, except some minor things not implemented in the Mac (ie : lightbox can’t access the web, some bugs…).

ZBrush has the reputation to be as much or perhaps better optimized on the Mac. And this is an exception in the world of 3D software. It is stable and fast on my Mac, and I think you can buy the Mac version.

Sorry for my poor english and hope it could help.

thank you, i will get the mac version. your english was perfect
