ZB 4r2 and OSX Lion compatibility?

I am holding off on purchasing/upgrading to OSX Lion until I can get some positive feedback from Zbrush 4r2+Mac users. All my Intel Macs are still happily running Snow Leopard with Zbrush 4.0, and I don’t want to upgrade only to have to downgrade again. ( I have neither ZB-4r2 nor Lion yet).

Any r2 users out there on Lion?

Thanks, for any feedback

Doug

I’m using it on Lion.
Zbrush 4 is running smoothly, but R2 is having some issues with my tablet.

There are new wacom drivers as of earlier this month. Only noticed today so dont really know yet how weel they work under lion with zb4r2. Will report back later.

http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/6726/wacom-tablet-driverLink above in case you need it. Works with SnowLeopard and Lion. Has bug fixes for Lion and CS5 with Cintiq.

Please post your Lion + ZB4r2 experiences if you can take the time.

Thanks

Doug

Aurik offered a tip for Lion users here;

The consensus so far;
-Install the OS 7.1 update
-Install the Wacom 6.1.7-4 driver [if you have a recent tablet model]
-Test for tablet lag and if necessary, uninstall DivX [no great loss]

Still need more input on 4R2+Lion[10.7.1] from more users.

Doing the above listed things, if you still have an issue try one more thing. Open up preferences > performance and untick multidraw and see if that makes any difference to stuttering issues with wacom tablets if you still have them.

Disabling Multi-draw fixed my zBrush issues on Lion.

Tried uninstalling DivX but itwasn’t present on my syste. Running 10.7.1 and latest Wacom drivers. Still had tablet issues.

Just ticked of the multidraw feature in performance! And it worked! Thanks Mike. Does anyone know what multidraw does anyway? Just wondering.
