ZB 4 smoothing brush sensitivity?

In earlier versions of ZBrush we were able to actually access the smoothing brush. Now it just pops up a message saying that the smooth brush will be enabled when Shift is held down.

Okay, that’s all fine and good and all, but now it just uses the default smoothing sensitivity which I always thought was way too harsh. I used to be able to open the smooth brush and set its sensitivity down really low and then all other brushes would use that sensitivity level.

But now with not being able to actually access the smoothing brush itself, I can’t change its sensitivity, and it’s really getting annoying having to constantly readjust the sensitivity on the brush I’m using at the moment.

Is there some new way to adjust global smoothing sensitivity to affect all brushes?

I use a Wacom Intuos 3 tablet by the way and even just barely tapping to smooth can be too much, so maybe there’s a way to configure the tablet’s response to the smoothing brush on its own?

Thanks.

wrong thread…

Have you tried playing around with the smoothing brush options in the Brush palette from the top menu bar? I don’t believe you have to hold down shift while making changes to that part of the palette. Just dock the pallette to the side and play around with the settings to find something you like.

You do have to still hold shift while inside of the brush menu
mess with the curves of the brush. I find it is way to high, I move the right point down to the top of the 3rd checker box and lower the Zint down to around 30.

Thanks for the correction
