ZB 4.2 PSD Alpha issue

Hi,

Many PSD Alpha 16 bit grayscales, that I loaded and used before in ZB 3.5 without any problem,
were usless within ZB 4 and now in ZB 4.2.
They are loaded as black pixeles and I can’t find to fix the problem, finding a way to use them as 16 bit maps.

I’ve submited many from those Alphas to pixologic the download center Alpha Library, since 2009 and they’re still available…

Thanks for any help

PS : I do not use Lightbox to import alphas

Have you tried increasing the Preferences: Preformance: Preload File Size? I was having a similar problem and that did the trick for me (I think r2 had it pretty low, r2b has it much higher)

Thansk but your case had somthing to do with Light box… and as mentioned at the end of my anouncement, I do not use lightbox.
however, my preload size is set to maximum (512).

Thanks for any help you could provide

(I wasn’t using Lightbox when it was happening to me, I was just trying to import them through the standard palettes / dialogue boxes)

We are experiencing the same thing at our studio. Is this a known bug wherein the 16bit alphas created from mrgbz grabbing cannot be reloaded unless converted to 8 bit? They come in either as a blank doc or with just one black pixel dot int he middle of an otherwise blank document.

We have tried loading via lightbox, via the alpha menu>import and via the Texture>import all to no avail.

What I Grab in ZB and save as 16 bit is reloaded correctly and dosen’t make any problem.
Files created from grabed alphas, are actually the only 16 bit alphas that I can load and use…
