ZB 3.5 true center rotation doesn't update?

Hey guys. I think there’s been a change with the true center rotation. In zb 3.1 when I change a model’s porportions drastically, the true center of the object updates.

But if I take a -say- sphere and make it much taller, then try to rotate, it still rotates around the spheres original center.

Is there a way to make the true center auto update?

Thanks guys,

Mike

If you are in Local Transformation mode (on by default in 3.5), Zbrush will Pivot around the last “point of contact” on the model. Note, in the case of the Move brush, this is determined as where the move brush first made contact on the mesh, not where you ended up pulling the mesh to.

If you turn Local Transformations Off, (button on the right side of the viewport), it will rotate around the exact center of the global coordinates of the entire mesh (even if the mesh is made of subtools, and some are hiddden.

If you’d like it to rotate along the exact center of any visible mesh and subtools, turn local Transform Off, and turn on (in 3.5R2)“Align Camera To Object” in the Draw palette. This would make it exactly like 3.1 default rotation.
