ZB 3.5_R3 :Quick Transform Threshhold Not Working? [It's working differently]

I noticed a significant performance decrease from 3.5_R2 (and even 3.1) but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. Navigation took a significant performance hit when I turned on polyframe at high subD levels.

I then noticed that the Zbrush behavior where it temporarily displayed objects at lower resolution while transforming didnt seem to be working.

I checked the QT Trans threshhold slider in Preferences> Performance, and that was set to 1, which should be 1 million (the traditional default), and it should be firing. But it was not, and no numerical value I assigned to it could make it work.

It Does work if you turn it all the way to zero, so if anyone else is having this perfomance issue, do the same.

Thanks!

Worked with this a bit more, and it appears to be just working differently. The slider, contrary to the description, doesnt seem to be a “threshold” any more like the description says, but a slider that controls the level of subdivision displayed while transforming.

Because if I set it to .3 or so, I get a slight decrease in resolution while rotating, but if I set it to zero, I get a much larger drop in displayed resolution.

Perhaps it was like this in 3.5_R2 as well, but I never noticed it. Whatever it was set to by default performed very well, but the new default results it a noticeable lag on my system when working with very dense meshes, especially with polyframe on.
