ZB 3.12 - How do you set XYZ as default rotation mode?

in ZB 3.12, how does one set the XYZ rotation mode to be the default instead of Y? I’m not a ZB novice, so this is really stumping me…

thanks =)

lovin’ this verions btw!!!

You can assign hotkey to the XYZ mode or, you may record a macro.

Here are the steps to record a macro which will allow you to customize multiple items within the ZBrush interface with one key press…

  1. Launch ZBrush and select any of the startup 3D tools.
  2. In the Macro palette, press the “New Macro”, this will start the macro-recorder.
  3. Customize the interface to your liking , for example… click the XYZ rotation mode, activate perspective and floor grid.
  4. In the Macro palette, press the “End Macro”. You will be asked to name your macro, Type “MyStartupMacro” (or any other title) and save it within the ZBrush->ZStartup->Macros->Misc folder.

You will now see your new Macro within the Macro->Macros subpalette.
Clicking this button will replay the sequence of commands that you have recorded. You may also want to CTRL+Click on the macro button and assign a hotkey to it.

Now, whenever you launch ZBrush, simply press the hotkey and the your recorded sequence of commands will be executed.

hmmm… that seems a little convoluted… and not automatic.

can the Pixo team please add the saving of the preferred rotation to the UI configuration file, or some other preference file, for the next ZBrush update?
